Being abused is not normal and you should report it even if it's family members. Being gay is normal. The reason why I say being gay is normal because you are born gay and don't become gay.
Sorry, I do not believe you are born gay. things that happen to you when you are very young in years molds you into what your life will turn out to be in the future
you have choices in life, you can choose to be gay or not to be gay, like I said earlier ,what may happen to you in your early childhood has a lot to do with how you turn out
