Is it normal to be attracted to nerdy girls?

If a girl is hot, but super nerdy, are guys still attracted to her? Is the whole nerdy thing a turn off? I'm only asking because I'm extremely nerdy but do take pride in my appearance so I'm just wondering if being a nerdy engineer cancels out any physical attractiveness that I might have?

BTW I'm not talking about love or anything, just attraction. I'm just wondering how men generally feel about nerds and if it's a huge turn off.

    It depends. Some guys are into nerdy girls. I know I am, lol.

    But it can be a major turn off to others when they get that idea that some might be smarter than them. But I don't mind stuff like that. That means I get to learn new things.

    probably not high school boys but most boys that are beyond that, it's probably not such a bad thing.

    I think people are getting nerdy and intellegent mixed up. A nerd is out of touch with what's going on around them, not thinking about social expectatons. But if you get good marks, that just means you're a determined, cleaver person. It's normal to be attracted to cleaver people who you can talk to.
