Is it normal to be attracted to much older men?

So I'm 17 years old and my taste in men has quite changed in like the last year. I'm definitely far more attracted to men who are at least 25 or sometimed up to 40 years old. They're real men unlike the boys in my class. Is this normal?

Completely normal, a lot of people think they're mature for their age and deserve someone who's seemingly as mature. However, I wouldn't completely disregard guys in your own age group.

My (late) husband was 13 months older than me but my current (and hopefully last) boyfriend is 19 years older and I love him so much. He is awesome and so good for me and to me. Love doesn't know age.

  • It is normal to be attracted to older men, lots of girls are. The same way boys are often attracted to older women. Older people have the advantage of more life experience and young people have a youthful exuberance that hasn't been crushed out of them yet by dealing with years of responsibility.

Your statement about older men being more "real" than younger guys was not cool and, honestly, a bit arrogant coming from someone who's the same age as them.

Oh, and BTW "Queen" - to make such broad generalizations based on one experience with an older man shows your immaturity.

I love the energy and affection many younger women bring to a relationship, and how much they appreciate the patience and respect an older man can give. My one issue being with a younger woman is that it ruins my desire to be with a woman my age. If things don't work out with the young lady, I feel disappointed in my peer options. Why can't I find one of these young ladies who is satisfied with a good guy and good sex? Why do some seem to put such emphasis on money? Don't they know money can't buy love or happiness?

I'm 36 and I know pretty well what late teens and early 20's girls can do to a guy. Shouldn't you look at boys your own age? You nothing but trouble in a guys life.

Of course that's normal. I'm a young girl too and I prefer older guys as well. Not that I refuse guys my own age, but a few years older never hurts. They're often better in bed, they got experience.

PS Be careful in saying you're 17 (underage), your account could get blocked for that with no warning. This happened to me too several times. The trick is that whenever you say you are underage you also got to say you got permission from your parents to be on this site. I got such permission and therefor I can legally be here (I'm underage too).

I used to judge girls who like older men but now I get it, the allure of the older guy. It started when I developed a massive crush on Rick from the Walking dead (He is so hot right?) Then Will Arnet also Paul Rudd yum! 12 years older would be the maximum for me though, would not date a white haired or bald guy.

As much as part of me would love to shag a young girl and give her the ride of her life, I would not do it. Young girls would like the sex but nothing else. These types of relationships almost never work, they are always about money or sex. The older guy gets wrecked when the young girl gets bored.

It's quite common in Europe for young women to be involved with middle aged (or older) men. They are more affluent, have more toys, more time to spend with their lover, and are much more patient, knowledgeable and giving lovers.
My girlfriend's boy friend is 42 years her senior. It seems to be working out very well for them.

Old men are ugly and vile. And they smell like BenGay. Like that Gypsy the knave. I'll take a young muscular man, over an old dried up prune like him anytime. Their equipment doesn't work well. The knights in my court can testify to that. Young and hot, not old and snot my fair maiden.

Spoken as one who knows nothing from experience.
I, for one, have never used Ben Gay (and I'll thank you not to assume) nor am I an old dried up prune, though certainly a bit tan and weathered.
Your "young muscular man" will be much more intent on his own pleasure than yours, depending on his looks rather than his skill as a lover.
I absolutely have no interest in trying to change your mind, but it will not be the open minded woman who goes to her grave regretting the things she didn't do in life.

I doubt that very much, my dear sir. For jealousy does not suit you. You are entitled to your view, as am I. Now, as for the matter of my lover's own pleasure. That is a falsehood. His task is to please the Queen. And he will freely admit this. That is why only certain men are chosen, to please the Queen. And unless you've had cosmetic surgery, done to yourself. Your body has to be somewhat wrinkled and withered, Does it not? And as for regrets, my dear sir, we all have some to burden, For I have had one older lover, he was 57 and not in his right mind. He was wrinkled and worn. But that was from the drinking and running with the peasant motorcycle crowd. His equipment only worked part of the time. And this will not be tolerated by the Queen.

Yes but if its true love (quite rare indeed) the old skin and gray hair just don’t seem to matter much...speaking from real life experience here. As with any aged man, young or old, hopefully it goes deeper than looks.
