Thank you for the thoughtful observation, you sound like a much calmer version of the voice in my head (ie the sensible one). As far as culture goes, where I'm from our age gap is actually encouraged (as it turns out the girl in question's last boyfriend was a year older than I am), my own Mom and dad were actually 14 years apart age wise and my Mom believes that the guy should always be older (since guys mostly mature slower than women).You've also very nicely pointed out how this would affect both mine and her futures, and that my actions from here affect us both, for that I can't thank you enough.
I'm glad to report that I'm loosing no sleep over this.
