Is it normal to be ashamed of cats

There's 12 cats living along with me, 18 if we count the neighbours as well. Anyway, whenever a cat comes near me, stares at me, wants to lie on me, or even meows at me I feel nervous. Also, I feel really ashamed when I eat something, like waffle, and they meow at me, because I can't give to them all, therefore I give to none. It's like I'm afraid to not hurt them. This applies to other pets as well. Is this normal?

That is quite alot of cats. The official diagnosis for crazy cat lady from the American Pychological Association is 5 or more. You are well beyond that and obviously batshit af.

The important thing is that they are all well fed (with cat food) have clean litter (not possible if you have 12 indoor cats unless you live in a mansion). And they should be spayed and neutered and regulary checked out by a veterinarian.

If you can't do all that you should rehome several of them. Its sweet you feel bad, but they shouldnt eat waffles anyways.

    • Actually, they live outdoors in my yard. Where I live, when somebody is "out of space", they usually throw their newborn kittens on the road, trash cans or some people even drown them in the nearby rivers. It's really disgusting, but none cares, because everyone does it. Anyways, I can't say that I'm any kind of cat-lover or something, but I can't left the hungry babies/cats on the street.

They eat everything though, and they rarely, if never get sick.. Maybe it have something to do with their origin.
