Is it normal to be arroused by op fictional characters?

For as long as I can remember I've felt arrousal when reading about or watching a movie where the protagonist (main character) is either very powerful or becomes very powerful. Usually only happens when the protagonist posseses some kind of magical ability that far surpasses their peers'.
