Just a not-so-public PSA, you got a reply from the OP, but, unless you made this post a favorite or randomly decided to go back on it, you probably wouldn't know that you got said reply. (This is also directed to you OP. Remember: comments do come with a reply button (bottom right). People don't know if you replied to them unless they did aforementioned reasons or you directly (and I mean DIRECTLY (i.e. even if you reply to my comment, thegypsysailor still wouldn't know that)) replied to them.)
On topic to the OP's original question: yes it's normal to be annoyed and you might want to tell your roommate not to be such a stickler to a schedule.
