It‘s actually called misophonia. Hating specific sounds and you can‘t control your reaction to it. I also can‘t stand the sound of two dry hands rubbing against each other. Getting that discomfort feeling even by writing this.
Most common hated sounds are chewing, snoring, chalk scraping a blackboard.. It’s being researched at the moment. It’s known to be developed in late child hood-early adult hood.
Is it normal to be annoyed by people rubbing their hands together?
