Is it normal to be allergic to painter's tape?

I have slight allergic reaction to painter's tape. I feel a burning sensation whenever I touch it. I am completely fine with duct tape and scotch tape.

perhaps there's something in painters tape that irritates you? or be careful when you use it and use gloves
