Is it normal to be afraid to have gall bladder removed?

I have gall stones and am supposed to have my gall bladder removed. I have heard horror stories about recovery and how it makes you have diarrhea really bad afterward. I already have a bowel disease that makes me have severe diarreha. I also heard you throw up bile afterward for hours. Can anybody tell me about the surgery?? Im in a lot of pain and need to have it done but Im scared.

  • Mine failed and it was the worst sickness I've ever had. The surgery was super fast, they go in through your bellybutton. I was sore afterwards for a while, but I mean your body takes time to heal itself. Glad I got it done. Looking back it wasn't bad at all.

  • I had mine removed, feel so much better! Piece of cake! Easy recovery just follow doctors orders! Don't rush it, everyone heals differently. You'll be fine!

  • My friend had this just a few weeks ago. She said it was perfect and she's feeling better than ever. Don't worry. She was a little weak but other than that, she's fine.

  • I had mine removed and didn't get sick from it. It actually really improved my life, and the pain right after the surgery was manageable. Just follow your doctors instructions, don't eat super greasy fatty food right after and you should be fine. It's best to get it removed asap. My mother waited too long and died of gallbladder cancer.
