Is it normal to be afraid to do a 4 hour drive alone?

You are over reacting. Every summer I have to do a 20 hour drive. (Usually I sleep in a motel so it takes two days)
I love the big trip!

grow some balls (or ovaries) and go. sounds like you need a lot more self reliance skills. the way to get them is to just do it.

After a few hours on a 15 hour drive I started having a conversation with myself. I have to admit that I can be quite interesting :-)

I love driving alone but the people passing by just know that I am crazy. Oh, well, I have the papers to prove it.

You should be fine. My first long car ride by myself was just a few years ago. I had to drive 12 hours to another state. Yep, I was scared at first, but now I feel I accomplished something. Go for it!! It's not that bad. I brought comedy cd's for when I was gonna go thru a mountain range where there wasn't any radio reception. I had a good time.

you're overreacting. As long as you have a car that will make it, you'll be fine!

Omg what if ur car breaks down in the middle of nowhere and ur phone does t work and ur stuck there for ever!!!!
