Is it normal to be afraid to confess my love?

I am a Girl and I have a best friend guy who is older than me for 2 years. We've been friends since our baby time. We are friends for 15 years. Suddenly, few weeks ago I realized that my feelings for him got different. He is in University therefore he lives in another country and this summer I am going to visit him but I'm scared to death about our relationship. He was always caring and kind to me but now I am confused. I am confused about his feelings. These days we chat a lot and should I confess my feelings to him now or tell about it later?

    Depends on your preference.

    Lots can happen either way.
    Go by what you're most comfortable with, or think is right. Which, of course, would be..

    A. Confess now.

    or

    B. Wait until you can express your feelings in person.
