Is it normal to be afraid of plants

I don't know anything that set this off. But since around the age of 10 or 11, ( I'm 19 now) I have been afraid of plants' (Certain ones of course.) I went on vacation in a jungle like place around that time, but can't remember anything happening. I know it's stupid and you probobly won't believe me since we need them to survive, but it is true. Please awnser with considerat thoughts.

  • It could be a phobia. Some phobias are hard to determine, it could have come from a traumatic experience or you could of gotten it from your parents or grandparents.

  • I've never heard of anyone being scared of plants, specifically, but it is normal to be scared of something obscure.

Maybe prickles. I find those a bit worrying.

  • I guess it depends on which kind of plants. Like, for example those fly trap things scare the living crap out of me. I think I can thank "the little shop of horrors" for that.
