Is it normal to be afraid of movie theaters? It's not the dark or the movie, but just the theater itself. I can watch movies but not in a theater, I am not afraid of the dark.

    That’s the first time I’ve heard about this phobia but it does exist. It’s called cinematophobia so you’re not the only person that has this fear.

    I met a lady who couldn't bear to go see a movie in the theater for like seven years.

    I only worry about catching Scabies or bed bugs in theater seats. But you can get those in restaurants, libraries, buses, everywhere. So we're screwed basically.

    So it's irrational? It's a phobia then. Not normal, though lots of people have phobias.
