Is it the shark you're afraid of or the thought of being eaten alive? A lion or tiger could do that too. Are you afraid of them?
99% of sharks would not hurt you, which is a lot better than your fellow humans.
I have spent a great many years in the ocean, spearfishing for dinner for my family and friends. There were quite often sharks around, but I'm still here, un-bitten.
A hell of a lot more people are injured and killed in car accidents than have ever even seen a real shark.
Being bitten by a shark is not something that you really need to worry about.
Is it normal to be afraid of fish?

interesting fact: you're more likely to have a vending machine fall on you than get attacked be a shark.
Not that there's anything wrong with fearing sharks :)
