There are different ways of looking at it. I dont believe in the afterlife and yet I am not afraid of death. Instead I am fascinated by it, curious what happens after... if anything. Something else that helped me not have the fear is I find it a little pathetic when people live their entire lives fearing something every minute which is inevitable. I would rather stand in front of a barrel than resort to kneeling and squealing for me life. Which I am sure is not normal or sane behavior.
And you would be surprised to know how many people are actually terrified to die even though they believe in the afterlife.
