Is it normal to be afraid of death every night?

  • Death is an unknown and scary concept for obvious reasons and, as a species, we are instinctively afraid of the unknown.

It's a difficult thing to accept, that all one has worked for and striven to do with their life can be wiped out in an instant when the brain fails and the synapses stop firing.

From my experiences, having a religion does little to nothing to alleviate these fears and in almost every case I have seen to date, BECOMING religious makes the fear of death WORSE.

I wish I had some advice for you, I really do, but it's just something that I have found rationalization rather than religion has helped.

I hope you manage to find a way to deal with your fears, I know when I was first dealing with these fears and concerns as well as separating myself from my then beliefs in religion.

It helps in a weird kind of way.
