Is it normal to be afraid of death

Hello, I am an 18 year old student even though I am young I am completely terrified with the thought of death. I know it is a long way off (depending on accidents or health issues) but yet I am scared because it is coming for all of us eventually. Is this normal?

i would fear death only if i was a worthless piece of shit that didnt leave anything of importance behind , it would have been all for nothing. everyday is important dont waste your life like every democrat on the planet. Be something excell i everything you do , that way you can look at death in the eye and say screw you i win.

I'm not afraid of death when I'm morbidly depressed. When I'm feeling relatively not depressed to somewhat happy I feel quite afraid of death, it's not fun to admit, because it makes me feel small inside.

I'm usually not especially afraid of death, because my faith helps me a lot, but in those weirdly dissociative moments when I wonder is any of this real it feels so yucky.

For some life is a living death. If you have fear then fear that young man.
