Is it normal to be afraid of blinking lights?

I've discovered that I am very uncomfortable sometimes with blinking lights, particularly in the dark. For instance, when I'm in my room at night and I see my laptop light blinking steadily. And the fire alarm in my dorm in college had a blinking light that bothered me so much I had to turn and sleep facing away from it.

Annoying the blinking lights is very normal, but if you have other symptoms while seeing the lights such as headache is abnormal. It may be caused by some diseases such as migraine and glaucoma. Find your doctor ASAP

  • Are you also afraid of machines that move by themselves?

    It might be a phobia.

I'm not afraid of such lights, but I find those to be very annoying, but I think that's the point.
