Is it normal to be afraid for your dad?

Ok my dad is an alcoholic and we does pills and recently he has gotten into some bad things. I love my dad more then anything known to man kind he is my best bud and we get along great I get everything from him and all my life we have been unbelievably close. But the last two or three years court has got involved and j can't see him unless it's supervised but we still don't see each other, recently I found out my dad has been doin meth and is lookin bad (please, please don't judge) but I cry alot and I think about him down and wht it will be like when he does and what I'll do and how sad I'll be.. Pretty much I'm already thinking about his death as if he was dead. Is it normal??

I think what you are feeling is very normal. I think you are kidding yourself some though. He is not giving you the one thing you need the most. Thats is for him to clean himself up. All the material things he buys for you really don't matter. You need a father you can count on. He sounds like the kind of dad that can do it though. chezycheze gave good advise for you

Its normal and good to care, think, and worry about the ones that are close to you. Maybe I don't really know what I'm talking about but I think that someone needs to really step in and help your dad or else he will never get better. As a note though, its a dirty job to be the person that steps in. Like he will very likely get very angry on many occasions. I'm not saying you should be the one, you esspecially shouldn't if your still pretty young but its probably a good idea for you to talk to some professionals, like doctors, about his situation.
