Any relationship is always going to involve an element of risk. You can be with someone 20 years and then they still break your heart. On the other hand, if you never take a risk with your heart, then you're guaranteed to never find real love.
Ultimately, we all have to take that risk if we want to experience love, but certainly theres no reason why you shouldn't take your time. Just don't beat yourself up if life doesn't go to plan. All any of us can do is our best. :)
