Becoming an experienced lover is just the intelligent thing to do if one wants to be able to please their partner. No one is born with the talent to be a good lover, and like anything else important in life, it takes practice to become proficient at sex.
Perhaps it is envy that causes some who do not have sex to put down those that do, with terms like slut. Perhaps it is a sincere belief that sex is wrong or "dirty".
