If you do it a lot that explains why it comes easy to you. Try to find yourself projected in another place on earth, a garden, a special place, whatever... then when you're there try to smell or taste something. If you can, you're having an OBE/Projection, if you can't, you aren't.
That's good, in order to know you are having a real experience, they must work as well as in the physical world. Oh, and teacher says there is one problem with your original post: If you're asleep it's just a dream. You can only have an AP when you're awake.
When I have one, I have to sit or lay back somewhere comfortable in the dark and meditate on it. But then when it happens it seems like a dream until I verify the experience with my senses. I can't verify with sight or sound because I naturally have very lucid dreams, so I have to use feel, taste, or smell to verify. Sometimes I fall asleep during the experience, which is because I'm either too relaxed or too tired, but it's natural to do so. You just revert to your body when you dream is all.
But dreams can be just as useful as AP's or OBE's. Here's a site I like to study for my past life regressions and for dream interpretation: rainsnow.org
Abuse? "Abuse is the improper usage or treatment for a bad purpose, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in many forms, such as: physical or verbal maltreatment, injury, sexual assault, violation, rape, unjust practices; wrongful practice or custom; offense; crime, or otherwise verbal aggression."
But there was no aggression towards YOU, just your IDEA. There's a difference. I'm VERY passionate about this topic, and I will be as course and brutally honest as I see fit.
Don't be a pansy about it.
Anything that is done often can be done subconsciously.
Example:
I don't need to focus on what I'm doing when I drive around. (and I don't get lost either - even when I'm not paying attention)
As for Astral Projection:
I find it easy, but since it's not something I'm experienced in, it requires a fair amount of concentration. If my focus is broken, I lose sync with the projection and instantly revert to my own body.
With enough concentration, I can be aware of what's happening around my physical body without reverting.
Have someone in another room open up a book to s rsnfom page and draw a picture of the first noun they come across.
From you place in the other room, float your disembodied self out there and then write down what you saw. I predict you won't successfully describe a pic no matter how many times you try. In other words, you aren't doing anything more than being imaginative.
