Is it normal to be a "know it all"?

  • Hehe, I wrote a story on here last year about how my dog could talk but after learning woof, howl and bark, he'd got really lazy about learning any new words.

P.S. On Venus, a day is longer than a year so you really do get all four seasons in a day.

    • Your Bono fact actually made me burst out laughing, and for a split second I considered googling it (I can't believe I admitted that)
Did you know the reason that chimps can't talk is because of just one gene called FOXP2? And did you know the Queen is actually a reptile? On a serious note people honestly believe the latter...

      • Yay! I thought you'd like that. A friend used to publish a weekly science publication and I got called on to write a small piece each week called "Weird Science". When I ran out of things to say, I started making them up. The Bono Malteser thing was one of those. The geeks loved them (which is why I thought you may like it) but lots of people just didn't get it at all. I did it for two years so I've got about a hundred of them. I may spring one on you now and again. Although not too often because, in general, people think it's daft. :)

          • Aww, Sherlock! You're here of an evening? We're finally turning you into a full-time nutter instead of a part-time mentalist. In honour of your step up in craziness, I gift you a made-up science fact:

There are only four naturally occurring objects which don't have corners; a sphere, a cloud, Austria, and Tom Cruise. They stand diametrically opposed to Darth Vader, who is virtually all corner.

            • Haha I'm not sure if a full-time mentalist is a good thing? I've just finished my evening dose of 24 and shall be going to bed to dream of becoming a special agent that deals with terrorists.
LOL! Shelley that one is definitely my favourite, I wonder how many of your glorious facts I can convince the world with?

              • Full-time mentalism is definitely a good thing, Sherlock. It shows commitment to the cause of mentalism.

Some of my earlier fake facts were quite believable. I'll send you door-to-door spreading those. Anything that mentions Darth Vader is probably going to arouse suspicion, though.
