  • That's only a very small percentage of Furries, known as Otherkin, the rest are just people who appreciate animals and like "anthros" a bipedal animal with human intelligence and some features.

There are many sub-groups: some overlap may happen

    Furry artists/art lovers
Creative people who create art, or enjoy art and other fan works.

Casuals: simply enjoy furry related stuff, sometimes even cartoons.
Fursona creaters/roleplayers: typically have a character they base themselves on, and roleplay online as their "OC" or "Fursona" may have artwork of their character.

Fursuiters: own a costume, may or may not be sexual.

Yiffers/furverts: Those who like the more sexual aspects, like the more explicit artworks and or other fetish items.
This includes the "Yiff artists" who make sexy artworks and erotic stories.

Otherkin/Therian: otherkin are people who genuinely believe they are not human and believe they are a certain animal, instead of simply role-playing or pretending to be one.
Therians believe they are a mythical creature, like a unicorn, Griffin, elf, etc.

Scalies: similar to Furries, but with reptilian creatures like snakes and dragons.

Bronies: an extension of the furry fandom made of people who happen to be fans of the show "My little Pony: Friendship is magic". Follows same subgroups, with different terms, and more related to the show. (,ex, "Clopper" instead of yiffer)
