If you've been on a diet/just not getting enough iron then your periods can stop. Happened to me when I was a teenager.

my friend has not had her period for months at a time. when she moved to college, it didn't start up for a few months because she was stressed and living in a new place. and this summer, she became a lot more active and it stopped for around 2 months.

weight gain? weight loss? are you stressed, depressed? Have you had any unprotected sex or urinary infections. (probably not)

When I was in my teens I would have about 6 or 7 periods a year and it was pretty much never regular when I did have one. I was also swimming competitively and practicing in the area of 4 to 6 hours a day. My doctor said it not uncommon for underweight or highly athletic women to have irregular periods. It does make it a little scary if you've unprotected sex recently though.

Well I think usually, they can be a couple of weeks off here and there. But I think two months is quite a long time. Could be you have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. Or it could be because you are underweight? I lost mine for a year a while ago and it was because I was very underweight.

How old are you? I have very bizarre period cycles and am definitely not pregnant. I was diagnosed with endometriosis which tried to explain why my period was so irregular. However after an ultra sound I came back normal. I think our bodies act in strange ways, we're all different and unique and depending on your age it could just be a strange hormonal imbalance or spike. I'd go see a specialist though, as its definitely important to understand your body. The waiting list for specialists can be up to 2 months so get onto it sooner rather than later. You're probably 100% normal though so don't even worry. Also, pregnancy tests and doctors can be wrong, so if you are sexually active never rule out the idea you could be pregnant. Go get a blood test.
