This sort of bigotry is not normal, but sadly it's far too common. I've known people like this as well, and none of garbage that they think about Jews and/or other minorities is even remotely true.
I've known people of many races and religions, and I can say that there is no group that is inherently "bad" in some way. Anyone who says otherwise is unknowingly spreading dangerous lies.
