It seems to be normal these days, but it wouldn't have been normal in the past. Partly it's socioeconomic, if these people work seasonally like you it's probably economically safer to live at home. I think some people mature less quickly these days. I personally couldn't get out my house fast enough. I moved out at 21 and married at 23, which is abnormal for these days.
