  • You don't say things to your girlfriend that you don't say to friends?

    • So saying "I love you" is the only difference?

Not really seperating them much is it.

Sex becomes most of the "gap" between the two when you think about it. If I have a girlfriend but never sleep with her, then what of all the girls I have slept with without dating? The one you're with is supposed to be closest to you, most intimate with you, yet the bar whore down the street has been there instead. You can "talk" all you want but sex is the most intimate thing (duh..) one can do with another.

No matter how you look at it, "the no sex thing" only applies to people too young and/or immature for it.

As for those old enough, I think the whole "you don't have to have sex to be a couple" is just an excuse for losers to make SOMETHING out of NOTHING.

SOMETHING out of NOTHING, just like long distance/online "relationships".

      • You don't have to have sex to be a couple. That doesn't mean the couple doesn't WANT to have sex, but abstaining from premarital sex does not deem two people "not a couple".

I moreso applaud couples who refrain from sexual activity because it shows an entirely new level of strength and dedication to the relationship and actually taking their virginity and the physicality/emotionality of it seriously.

Sex, contrary to popular belief, is an incredibly intimate and special experience. Those who believe having sex is the only sign of a romantic relationship are the ones who are too young/immature to fully understand its purposes and consequences.

        • I have no interest in being politically correct, just correct.
