I think it's perfectly normal. Just because you haven't gone further than making out, doesn't make not normal. Your friends shouldn't be making fun of you either, as a subject like this can be sensitive. IMO, take your time and get settled in a relationship before taking it further than have sexual intercourse. Do what you feel is best. Just wait until the right time comes around.
