I tink its normal. I mean. I usually adress people with "umm" or "excuse me" or something like that. I only really say a friends name if their really close to me. Or i use "man" or "dude" or nick names. I have a think with saying someones nickname like "kuri" or "Bunny" or "Kabuki" when that is far from thier actuall name. Be carful however not to forget their names. I've ran into this problem and actually lost a friend because of it.
