Personally, if the job was 100% guaranteed, I would take it and them ask for her hand in marriage. Correct me if I have gotten the wrong impression, but her parents seem to be very snobby.
Even if it is not guaranteed, for the sake of love, you could go out on a limb and ask them for their blessing. If they refuse, keep in mind that she is an adult. She should be able to make her own decisions.
