I've been crushing on this girl in my class, but the semester is almost over. I haven't had the balls to ask her out yet, but know that she is single. We usually get on very well. As the question implies, we are facebook friends. Should I ask her out for coffee/a small meal in class? If she fancies me, would she care if I asked her online or in person?

    Ask her out in class but make sure it's private; not public.

    The Facebook thing....No. Just no.

    You'll have to eventually interact with her physically anyway so you might as well get used to it by asking her out physically in person.

    That's how my first boyfriend asked me out. It was bearable, but I'd still say that your relationship will be much closer and progress much better if you ask her face-to-face :)

    What kind of coward do you think she will assume you are if you are too scared to face her and ask her politely if she would like to go out.

    2) would he be a good partner to mate with and have children with
    3) can he protect me

    If you are just wanting to hang out, a text or FB message is fine. If you are actually planning a date, ask in person. Either way, in person is always nicer.

    I was asked out via facebook a year ago and didn't see anything wrong with it. The guy was a jerk though, we were only together for 3 months and then he broke up with me because I didn't like his stupid metal band and I wouldn't let him pick on my little sister.
