Is it normal to always feel sad?

I'm never happy. I'm always really depressed. If I am not at school track or work, I hide in my bedroom in my bed under my covers and cry till I fall sleep. I feel lonely. I feel like no one ever notices I'm here and I do so much. I go home and my mom has no clue I'm even home because of our work schedules, my dad came right out and told me he hated me, my siblings are busy or just simply haven't talked to me in a long. My friends all forgot I existed. I'm a male and shouldn't feel this way. I feel sick to my stomach all the time. I run and running makes it all feel better, till the run is over. I always just want to cry. I just feel so sad all the time. I dread the next day everyday I don't know why. I feel like I don't matter to anyone and I feel like I'm worthless. This lonely, unhappy, scared feeling; what is it? I haven't felt happy in such a long time. I don't know why.
The last time I felt happy was when I asked my coach to do a certain race with me so I wouldn't have to do it alone and he said yes. I felt like I could possibly be liked by somebody. How do I get those feelings like tat? What should I do about this whole thing? what is it? How do I become happy?

    He does have a hobby, RUNNING. I love running too by the way. I wish I could just run forever sometimes.

    It's hard making friends depending on where you live. I made my friends when I got a job, but I moved again and I still haven't made any friends. You know what I regret? Not hanging out with the friends I made. I never really hung out with them that much but I wish I had initiated things now that I have no one.

    It's hard to make friends when you're depressed and even harder to keep them. Maybe your friends think you don't give a shyt about them? Do you try to talk to them and hang out with them or have you given up?

    Aw I feel so sad for you :o(

    You just have a shit home life which is fairly normal but you are happy outside the home, so you should try to be out as much as possible. Your dad is a rotten b@stard saying things like that to you, but it's his loss not loving his own son. He is the one missing out coz when you can get away you need never look back.

    At your age this could very well just be hormones and you may need some help to stop stressing. Have you tried herbal Kalms tablets?

    I'm sure there are plenty of others at the track you could befriend but even being out in the fresh air helps people who are depressed.

    Honestly, there are worse off than you. Think of those who can't run or even walk, or those who are homeless. Count your blessings and it won't be long before you can move out.

    Cheer up and don't waste you life.

    Try not to think about it like I get depressed when I think about life as I am an intelligent person and have a somewhat crap aspect on life so I try not to think about it. Try to make friends that enjoy running and maybe ask them to join you in like cross country or training.

        I do that to sometimes. I'll be happy at school (an act) but as soon as I get home I'm sad and don't talk much.

    How do you become happy huh...well that's an interesting question.

    1. Find a girlfriend and be happy for a while till she dumps your ass like you were nothing.

    2. Find some hobby that you like, that should occupy you for some time...hell even playing games is a hobby and quite a good one I might say.

    3. Try getting some real friends who will appreciate you.
