Ah, so you've pointed a few ironic ways I used my words, in there!
Well, it's more like depression, but, with depression comes lower-confidence.
My ego was higher than the Golden Gate Bridge, and now, it has fallen down because I'm getting depressed again.
Thank you, though, since you are entirely correct.
I appreciated it.
So rather than 'ALWAYS feeling confident' as you put in the header of the question, what you are actually describing is a fluctuation of confidence, from very high to low.
I'd say fluctuations in confidence and self-esteem are incredibly normal. I know I've at times felt like the most talented person in the room, and at other times the most worthless person in the room (often depends on the room).
More often than not, people sit in the middle-ground, neither very confident nor very unconfident, and their is a small degree of fluctuation one way or the other.
Your level of confidence before now was probably unusually high, which would make it less normal, but perfectly acceptable.
Depression is never pleasant and can rule your life, so I wish you the best of luck in overcoming it and returning to a more balanced state.
interesting how it was just 2 days ago that I made the post, and I'm already feeling 10 times worse.
but, either way, my depression (when it hits), WILL run my brain into s ridiculously thick wall, and make me lose energy, which makes my ego fall, as well.
it's interesting to see all the results for this poll, and, thank you very much.
Is it normal to ALWAYS feel confident?

"My ego is too high, causing trouble. I've been pondering over the idea that the world will be better without me."
This seems like a contradiction to me.
On the one hand, you say you are confident and have a 'big ego'.
On the other, you're having self-doubts / insecurities about your position in society and wondering if you're bad for people.
That, to me, sounds like a crisis of confidence.
