I just got through a year long distance (military bf in korea) and yes, your relationship will change. You can't expect her to be talking to you every second of everyday or even once a day. The insecure feelings won't go away. Just see how it goes and if it's something you can handle but honestly, I don't think first year of college is the best time to have a long distance relationship.
