Considering there are no boundaries or restrictions on how a gender can act, I disagree. I consider being "fake" doing something against your true nature and it doesn't seem like O.P is doing that. That's just me.
True nature. Who are you kidding besides yourself? You are just making up excuses to justify your own charade. Just like Popeye, you are what you are. That's what you need to be.
I’m not lying. If they asked I would say I was female, or if they say something like around woman being bad/not wanting to be friends with them I’ll tell them I am one. I just don’t say I’m one or correct them if they call me he/him (will correct if they call me a male explicitly, not just the pronouns.). I’m not acting like a male I’m just acting like myself, which most people will perceive as male. And I prefer how I’m treated when people perceive me as a male.
Hope that clears things up. Not lying to say I’m one, people just think I’m one and I’ll go along with it.

Well you stated it's fake to act a certain way because of their gender. She doesn't lie about her gender so it's not fake at all.
