Is it normal to act like this with my best guy friend?

Every time me and my best friend hang out we always end up spending most of the time hugging, lying on each other, rolling about on the floor or talking...

When we're alone he wraps his arms around me and we just stand/lie there for minutes! He says he loves me but I know it's not like that, he picks me up and carries me places and puts me over his shoulder frequently, when he picks me up sometimes it's just to move me so we can hug!

We used to text all the time, and we still talk almost 24/7. The longest time we've gone without speaking is 1 day... I felt really sad that day and was glad that we went back to our normal talking habits immediately the next day.

I was wondering is it normal to act like this with my best guy friend?

It's normal. I think it has to do with being opposite sexes cuz you can't do that with the sane sex without being dubbed homo. It's nice that you are that close

You two are just very closely knit with each other. There doesn't have to be feelings of a romantic nature there. I'm actually jealous. My BGFF and I play around like that but he gives the worst hugs. I try to teach him but it doesn't get through to him, lol

I'm the same as you , when I go round my best girlfriends , we go sit on a bed or a sofa , lay on eachother hugging and talking for hours on end , it's just because you two are obviously really close , people tell me to go out with this girl but it's not like that, I'm guessing it's the same for you?

Well, that's what friends do, so it sounds normal to me. If he really is just a friend then why does it matter what gender he is?

    • Because we get labelled as "Flirting" when we're not and it really bugs us! (if we are I know I'm not doing it intentionally!) ;P

Why don't you ask him out on a date?

    • Because I don't want to ruin our friendship... Also I'm not 100% sure I love him like that. Also I know he doesn't love me like that! Trust me on that one ;)

He's definitely interested in more than being friends whether he admits it to himself or not. Trust me on that one.
