I can't help that feeling of bitterness though. And don't be playing the immature card here. If I really was immature, I'd prank her or something. Or start telling everyone she's a stupid slut, dunno. I don't think not wanting anything further to do is that bad in this case.
I can understand it's easy to feel bitter in that situation, but it's also a very simple-minded way of looking at things because you have to realize she's actually doing you a favor.
The way you described it, she wasn't trying to be rude or disrespectful. She's just keeping it real. Why would you want her to waste your time giving you some false sense of hope? I agree with thegypsysailor. That type of honesty is rare and I would have a lot of respect for that person.
