Is it normal to accept a girlfriend/wife's lesbian affair?

This question was thrown up by a fellow poster's reaction to one of my replies to someone else's thread.

He explained that, as someone who's dated many bi women, for them to have a liaison with another woman wouldn't matter to him in the slightest. Yet, if she was unfaithful to him with another man, that would be totally unacceptable and would signal the end of their relationship.

There are all kinds of 'it depends' attending this, I know - but maybe this poll will give us a rough idea of the general feeling among those who visit this site.

    Ok I wouldn't mind my girl sleeping with another women IF she asked ahead of time and I gave permission.
    But if she slept with another women without telling me I'd break up with her. It's not about the sex it's the betrayal of trust.

      I like the sex part the best, so if it's just sex, then it's ok. If there is an emotional aspect to it, then not ok.

    I would be equally mad. I wouldn't want my wife to be sleeping with anyone else but me. Just the idea makes me feel sick.

    Yep i agree with yall if i caught my wife with another woman i wouldnt be as mad long as i new ahead of time and if i could join them but if i found her with another man il straight up muder the guy and make her watch im not really that jelous of another woman pleasureing my wife its one of my fanticyes to see my wife with another woman but i think i speak for most men when i say this

    Of course it is normal to not think of lesbian activities as cheating. Most women these days when they go out with friends are engaging in some sort of lesbian behavior anyway. It's generally socially accepted as normal. Women show physical affection with each other all the time and no one bats an eyelid. It doesn't mean that emotions or romantic attraction are involved, it's just how women have been socialized to interact with other females.

        It's scientifically proven that females are more gender fluid when it comes to attraction compared to males. It is much more common for females to find members of their own gender sexually attractive than it is for males. Certainly, a large part of the explanation for this is societal and cultural, but it also might be attributed to biological differences between the brains of males and females. You want proof, empirical evidence? Just consider that the majority of men are aroused by the sight of women kissing, but most women are not aroused by the sight of men kissing. Women seem to be more tolerant of homosexual behavior when it involves their own gender, and men more tolerant of homosexual behavior involving the opposite gender. This is basic sociology.
