I am not a racist, but I hate black people who dress like they're a gangster. It pisses me off because they think they're so cool, but in reality they're just annoying and give the black community a bad name. I do, however, not mind the civilized black people. Is this a normal thought?
Well msglitter you may have some points but "comfort" come on now. Can you imagine that having the crotch of you pants drape between you knees is in any way comfortable? Seem like it would cause chafing. And of course a person's clothing does not define their character but it does make some statement about it. In most cases an individual chooses clothing that is representative of the image that they wish to convey to the world. So yes clothing choice DOES speak to character.
All your comments make sense-they reflect your experiences, diversity and personal tastes. However, the original poster needs to check himself - he reveals a certain degree of racism in his intolerance to young guys (many of them immature) who dress outrageously because they're young, look for attention and want to out-do each other in their outrageousness. They eventually mature and outgrow their need for attention and need to dress differently. The poster'racism is showing-these kids are playing and dressing a part. It was the Beatniks and Hippies in my day, and the ones who didn't like it were the high-strung, up-tight and judgmental hyper-critical conformist types. Excuse me, I must got a little carried away!

Alot of people dress like that, not just black people. I don't care about how anyone dresses. I'm not paying for their clothes so why would I take the time to hate how they look? Hmm...everyone has their pet peeves, so it's normal I guess.
you've grown some sort of fear over one of the black stereo types. I have the same thing, If I go near someone like that I'm terrified they will pull out a gun and shoot me. not sure where they would get a gun though since it's illegal to own one unless you do clay shooting but if they can't get one it would be some sort of knife instead.
No, I don't think this is normal. I think u are really quite shallow and ignorant. Have u ever even thought about people dressing a certain way bc that's the style they like or the clothes they feel most comfrotable in?? I think u are really worried about the wrong thing. A persons clothing doesn't define their character. After all, u like to dress in what u prefer to wear right...
