I'd pay good money to watch ItDuz and Cleverbot converse. ItDuz would win, but it'd still be funny.
As for Cleverbot, I don't think it's that much cleverer than the "Eliza" programs that were developed when computers were much less powerful than now. All that's happened is that some of the conditional statements have been adapted to make it look like it has a sense of humour, i.e.
* talk to user about random plural noun #1354 (pickles)
* condition: did user type the word "pickles" in their response
if yes: So you really like those pickles, eh?
if no: Talk about pickles, you fool!
