Is it normal to... feel sick to my stomach?

So, I was with this girl for almost 9 months. Things were kinda of rough; but I really had feelings for her; So I made sure things worked out. Well after coming home the other night; I come to find out; just about everything she told me was lies; and to top it off... she was seeing other guys, while she was still with me.

I just don't understand it, this is a girl who cried on the phone to me; begging me to stay with her; cause she didn't want to get hurt again.. I'm not gonna lie, I'm one of the nice guys. So me being me, stays with her.
Then out of the blue; it all goes bad.

I just don't understand why she, or anyone would do something like that, to the one person..who actually cared...

Now, it just seems like anything, and everything somehow reminds me of her.

and anytime I think about her, I literally get sick to my stomach... to the point of lose of appetite, and eventually just sleeping for long periods of time.

I just don't know why; I've never had this happen with any other chicks I've broke up with...

im sorry, but if u've ever read the book "nick and norah's infinite playlist" (not just seen the crappy based on it movie), you sound like nick and tris in the beginning. tris was a slut who used guys and nick was the only nice one, so he was the only one who got hurt. sometimes u have to say to urself... fuck her. and move on. the world is full of nice ppl and u sound like a really nice guy. not all girls are like her. ull find who ur really looking for. dont mope. its just a waste of time. trust me.

I'm so sorry that this happened to you. I haven't had something like that and lost it, so I can't say that I've ever felt the same, but what happened was terrible and as PiAnt said, your emotional hurt can manifest itself physically.

When I read your story, I immediately thought of a song called "Everything Reminds Me of Her" by Elliott Smith.

Yes, it's normal to feel this way when you've obviously been so profoundly hurt.

Physical symptoms can manifest themselves when we've been hurt emotionally. Our mental condition effects our physical wellbeing and vice versa.

The depth of your pain is because of the deceit and betrayal during the relationship, rather than just the end of it.

It will take time to recover, but you will eventually.
