Whenever I go shopping I insist on going to Hollister, Abercrombie & Fitch, and Aeropostal. I am a young girl and I can't stand to wear anything else. I am asking is it normal to only insist wearing name brand clothes because in your head the other clothes are itchy and scummish?
I don't spend a lot of money on clothes. when I wanted to do this freshmen sem. Project, I said I'd be fine with $100 a month on clothes. The sub came by and was like: I hope you mean $100 a week because $100 is only worth a pair of jeans!!!" O.o wtf... It's just clothes... I get my jeans on sale at debs and wetseal, and they're cute and comfy and $20 or less ^.^
Its normal in that this is a phase most young girls go through - wanting to fit in to whatever stereotype they idealize. When you get older and have to start paying for your own clothes, you'll realize that its all made in China from the same stuff anyway, the only difference is the brand name on the front (and the price!)
It's normal for young girls but hopefully it's something you'll grow out of because it's superficial and stupid. I used to be the same way until I realized that no one gave a shit what I was wearing and if I did they weren't worth my time.
well not normal, but i also do the same with jeans. Actually i only wear a specific brand of jeans that seem to have the best fit on me.
its normal. your just young. eventually you should grow up and get sick of being a walking billboard though. im a guy, but used to be the same way.
