Me and my bf started to date last 9 years back, just after our high school. He never shows his love, but he helps me alot when I need help. He said " Action says louder than words" but sometimes, I wanna hear sweet words and I wanna get some romantic , exciting times. Now he started to plan for our wedding, and I started to feel doubt that will i be happy if I marry wit him. It's very difficult for me to make decision to marry him. Is it normal that he never shows romantic or sweet behavior ? I sometimes think that he doesnt love me anymore.

    Telling you that he loves you and that you are wonderful IS an action. The phrase he uses to justify his lack of verbal affection concerns people who are all talk and no action and isn't really applicable. He lives you and he should be able to express that love for both of your sakes. He's probably not comfortable doing so so it will take some coaxing and encouragement but him being able to verbalized his emotions is a good thing that he should work on.

    It would be easier if you talk to him about the situation. If you have been toghether for 9 years, i dont think you should trow it down the garbage just for some words, but if its important to you ask him, talk to him and tell him how you feel. And like a few here said I dont think a person would be 9 years with somebody, plan to marry them, and not love them... He is caring to you and thats how he shows his love. Some people are just not good with words

    If he is talking about marriage then that sounds like he does love you. Some guys just don't know how to be romantic.

    He still loves you especially if you two hve been together so long! Every man is different, some are tough and don't say things like that ;) I love my gf more then anything but sometimes I forget to tell her just because I feel she already knows it. Maybe he is the same as me thinking you already know.
