I can see taking comfort in and getting enjoyment from the knowledge that it's awful outside but you're inside all safe, warm and cozy with cookies no less. I reckon the traffic reports just serve to reinforce the juxtaposition of your warm fuzzy state to the hell that's breaking loose outside. Besides rain is a soothing sound.
The things that some people find beautiful about São Paulo don't attract me at all. I think this is a cruel, sad city. Would God I could live in a smaller city!
Right on. Are there a lot of street urchins there? I don't know what they call them in Brazil but when I was about five years old my mom took my sister and me to Bogota, Colombia and there were lots of orphaned street children. They were scary to me at five years old!
Is it normal this little pleasure of mine.

Isn't that one of the largest cities in the world?
Is it beautiful, exotic and chaotic?
