  • I guess. I think it's supposed to help relax the muscles.

    • Okay.

Sometimes I have a hard time swallowing and it hurts. It's been better since I started taking the Nexium, but honestly it was very embarrassing when it happened in public, especially if I'm alone which is not uncommon. Blarg! I also get nauseous and have had acid reflux go up into my sinuses and lungs when I'm sleeping.

      • I completely understand. When I was pregnant, my reflux was so bad that the burning in my sinuses gave me migraines. Ugh. I took a cal/mag supplement. It comes in liquid too, vanilla flavor. That worked the best at night.

          • I have Barrett's esophagus as a result of GERD and it is serious. I take a prescription level dosage of otc Omeprazole because it's cheapest. But I also elevate the head of my bed on 8" wood blocks. If I had done this at an early stage, I would be much healthier now.
