Lesbian isn't a slur or an insult, though. When people want to insult lesbians, they call them dykes or lesbos. Lesbian is one of the terms people choose to identify themselves. Anyway, sexual orientation can be very important and serious to people, so I don't think intentionally choosing words that sound stupid is a good idea. Besides, I would argue that stupid sounding words are MORE insulting, not less. The pain that slurs cause and the power they have comes from oppression and violence. Having a stupid sounding insult wouldn't help if people still yell it during hate crimes, which they would. A slur sounding stupid has never stopped people before.
I know, and I'm saying that doesn't help. If people said "mandit" or "linga" while beating gay people, or if people defended "corrective rape" of "lingas", it wouldn't hurt any less. The slurs we have hurt because they have violence, oppression, and fear behind them. It has nothing to do with what the words themselves sound like. "Faggot" would be an absurdly stupid insult if people didn't get beaten to death while hearing it and if it wasn't used by people arguing against giving gay people basic human rights.

It is kind of reverse psychology. If you give the insulting people a stupid insult they will stop since they feel stupid for these words they are calling people. Since they feel like idiots for saying it they will stop and it is one step to a better future. Do not stop the attacker just give them useless bullets. Once those bullets make the attacker look dumb it will no longer have any meaning. I am not trying to be bad I honestly think this would help a lot of people. It is a peaceful solution to a big issue. Without hate or protesting or violence. Thinking outside the box. We have one side of the gate and we have another. I just Thought of something. Now is my solution really that dumb?
