Failedcasanova and Dappled were the most surprising to me.
Failed has a southern accent, even by my standards, and I did not see that coming! Girls where I live DIE for that.
Dapples surprised me because he talked about his accent like it was a "sort of physical disability" when, upon listening, it sounded pretty bad ass in my mind.
Shade_ilmaendu was definently the most enthusiastic about reading her poem XD
And I am extremely curious about what kind of accent valleyofvung has, as I am not very exposed to accents so I can't place it for sure!
Mine will be up as soon as I can, as I am having trouble with AT&T and getting my new iPhone, as they are cry babys!
It's weird that my accent translated the same way to you as it does to people here. My accent is sometimes viewed with fear and suspicion because the implication is that I'm violent or a criminal. It's one of the lowest classes of accent from one of the poorest cities.
Oh, and I know what accent ValleyofVung has because I recognised it but she didn't put her location in her email so I would want anyone to speculate in public. She might be fine with it, but better safe than sorry. :)
I figured it out too, she was nice enough to private message and appease my curiosity about the origin of her accent. The problem was that her accent (to my ears) is so subtle that I couldn't place it!
Hmph, just from talking to you, it is fairly difficult for me to picture as low class, violent, or a criminal. You put off a vibe of intelligence that doesn't fit that. But if that's true, I can actually understand why you are so negative about it.
It's okay, i'm pretty hick myself. I had one parent with an extreme southern accent, and one with an extreme northern accent, so I think I grew up speaking right in the middle, lolz.
Actually, when I was younger I was terrified to talk to anybody that I didn't know, and I was terrified of being the center of attention.
A friend of mine kind of brought me out of my shell my freshman year of college, and now I find my self constantly the center of attention. Strange how we change!
Is it normal the voices are different to how I imagined?
