Is it normal that when i poo my hip hurts?

Basically when I'm doing a shit I get this really sharp pain in my right hip. I've tried like pushing down on my hip to see if that helps but it doesn't. It's only started recently so it's not a big ongoing thing, just wondering if I should bother going to a doctor or if it's quite common?

    It's probably just sciatica pain! Nerve trapped and any sharp movement or straining will make it hurt ... just go to the doctor just in case!

    Never heard of such a thing, go see a Dr! All I can think of is maybe the way youre sitting on the john, makes it hurt bc you might be a little bit out of alignment in your back or hip.
